The pawn industry can be both fun and interesting at times. In fact, I don’t know of any other business out there that is more interesting or more unique than what can happen on a day to day basis inside of a pawn shop.
Every now and then I get to see some pretty cool things come through those front doors. Sometimes it’s a vintage tool or awesome artwork, but sometimes it’s something much more unique.
I’m a nut for military equipment. I just love to collect it and display it in my home.
I think it’s some of the most well built, highly desirable stuff out there and I get a kick whenever something new comes in that I’ve never seen before.
So what showed up today?
Well, let’s just say that I was shocked to see it. It’s not often that something so cool and unique will come through our doors but when it does I often just look at it in awe.

When I saw the case for this come in I knew I was in for a treat. Then when I finally got it open, I was as happy as could be.
Everything works on it and it’s in beautiful condition.
Truth Be Told…
I feel bad that someone had to pawn this excellent piece of military equipment. I know that if it were in my personal collection there is no way I would want to part with it for any reason.
But some times unexpected expenses arise and that’s what we are here for.
The Nerd’s Experience
If you have a unique piece of military equipment like this, make sure that you always bring in paperwork showing that you are the rightful owner of it.
Nobody wants to go around and start accusing people of having a piece of government property that they shouldn’t, but it is a reality in this business.
The gentleman that brought this in came in prepared with a receipt in hand and that’s why we were able to help him with it.
If you don’t have some kind of documentation showing that you are the lawful owner of such a piece of equipment, make sure you get something – anything that removes all doubt people might have about it.
After all, this isn’t like a set of kitchen drapes – this is a ‘high tech piece of awesome’ in a box.
