Now, the question unfortunately isn’t the easiest thing to answer in a direct way that covers all pawn shops across the country.
The fact of the matter is that there are some pawn shops that will buy furs, but unfortunately the number of them that do has dropped significantly in recent years on average.
Overall, as the popularity of things like fine furs has decreased, so has the demand for them. The result of this is that pawn shops will also have less interest in them since they would be harder to sell if the fur was to forfeit or in the event that they bought it outright.

The next major question of course will be to know just how much a pawn shop will pay you for your fur and that’s going to depend on a lot of factors that you may or may not be fully aware of.
Resale Potential – The biggest thing when it comes to furs right now and pawn shops is going to be how easy or difficult it would be for the pawn shop to resell it.
That is going to depend on several smaller factors:
Brand Name – The brand name of a fur is going to make a pretty big difference in how much a pawn shop can afford to offer you for it on a loan or as a sale. Like all things, there are some highly desirable designer brand names and then there are more budget oriented, lower quality brands names as well. The better brand your fur is, the most likely it is that you will get more for it.
Condition – The condition of your fur is going to be an absolutely enormous factor in determining how much a pawn shop can loan you against it or offer to buy it from you for. Obviously a well cared for, cleaned and properly stored fur going to be worth a lot more than one that is stained or ripped in areas.
Local Demand – The next big determining factor in how much a pawn shop will give you for your fur is the amount of local demand they have for furs to begin with. If nobody in the area has interest in them, they aren’t going to pay a whole lot for them.
However, if you live in an area where people still like wearing furs or they are specifically sought after, then a pawn shop will be much more motivated to pay you a bit more for your fur because there is a greater likelihood that they will be able to easily resell it.
