Are car speakers something that a pawn shop will take in easily? That’s a good question but unfortunately, the answer isn’t always so easy to answer.

When it comes to pawning things like car speakers, unfortunately it’s one of those items where the answer is going to vary on a case by case basis depending on the pawn shop that you are working with.
You have to keep in mind that not all pawn shops operate the exact same way.
Some pawn shops will only take things like jewelry or tools while there are other pawn shops out there that will take anything and everything under the sun.
So, what about audio equipment? Specifically what about car speakers?
I mean, when you come to think about it, in most urban areas, car audio is a big deal! There’s a lot of demand for these items and people that are interested in getting a good deal on them when possible.
And it’s because of those reasons that when you get right down to it, most pawn shops will take in car speakers if you should happen to walk through their front door with yours.
That having been said, there are stills some things that you should keep in mind when trying to pawn your car speakers.

Write down the top 3 or 4 results that are closest to you.
Call them one by one and ask them if they make loans on car audio and what you may need to bring with you to make a loan on your car speakers.
Once you’ve done this, you should have 2 or 3 places in your area that are willing to look at your car speakers and determine if they are something that they can help you with and make you a loan for.
Once you have your list, there are some things that you should do to help make sure that you get the most money possible out of your car speakers.
First of all, make sure that they are in good condition, or at least the best condition possible.
You have to remember that pawn shops look at things as if they may one day have to turn around and resell them, so the better your car speakers look, the better chance there is that pawn shops will pay you more for them.
The next thing you will want to do is to be sure that you have a way to show the pawn shop that they actually work should they need you to demonstrate them.
Now I realize that it isn’t always possible to to demonstrate something like car speakers, but that having been said, if it’s something like a speaker box, try to have an amp and hookups available so you can quickly plug them in and show the pawnbroker that there’s nothing wrong with your equipment.
Last but not least, if your speakers aren’t easily identifiable or are in a box and would be a pain to take out and inspect, bring some kind of documentation on them so that the pawn shop knows exactly what the speakers are, what the specs are, etc.
This will aid them when they go to look up the value of your speakers and base their offer to you on. If you have some high performance car speakers, then you re going to want a good amount of money for them but unfortunately, if there’s no easy way for the pawn shop to know exactly what they are looking at, you won’t get that offer.
However, if you hand them paperwork on your car speakers and they can look them up to see what they typically sell for when they are used, you are going to stand a much better chance of getting the type of loan value out of them that you really want.
